Lifecycle

The Lifecycle shows the progress of a case and divides it into Stages. The Lifecycle is featured prominently within the Case Page.

Usage

The Lifecycle widget is the visual indicator for users to understand where they currently are within a case’s workflow.

The Lifecycle’s initial create Stage is a critical part of Pega’s Center-out™ customer journey model. It allows for greater flexibility to add processes within each Stage and helps reduce the creation of incomplete cases.

Content guidelines

  • Ensure Stage names are nouns and, when possible, are no longer than two words. For example, “Processing” and “Delivery” are good examples of Stage names.
  • Ensure Step names begin with a verb. For example, “Check inventory” and “Pack items” are good examples of Step names.
