If Pega’s UX design system patterns and configuration documentation don’t provide an answer to meet your application’s unique needs, consider engaging a front-end development team to extend the design system with DX components.

Extending the design system is more complex than authoring in App Studio and requires expertise in tools like NPM and Git and Pega’s UX design system development. Custom DX components must follow design requirements to avoid quality, performance, security, or upgrade risks.
